Before i forget about my teaching job and enjoy my summer break a quick look to the courses next year, some changes and some additional courses should make it a good year.

This advanced masterclass offers hands-on practical instruction on your digital SLR camera and is the next step up in learning how to control digital imaging processes. You will learn the skills needed to take photographs of a professional standard. Learning how to set up and light a professional studio, how to use a light meter to measure the light capacity, and how to control light, camera settings and correct exposures.


Learn more about your digital camera and gain confidence in picture taking. Covers camera types and accessories, camera operation skills, specific subject related technique and composition. Students are asked to bring their camera (Digital SLR or Compact).


This course demystifies the digital single lens reflex (SLR) camera so that students can get the most out of their equipment. Through demonstrations and hands-on sessions, students will learn how to use the settings and functions of their cameras while practising taking digital photographs.


Learn about the equipment and techniques used to produce professional looking studio portraits. You will learn camera, exposure, and lighting techniques and composition skills. With time to practise different techniques and lighting set ups


An accredited qualification that is suitable for those who would like to gain and develop photographic skills and technique. You will produce two assignments, exploring personal photography projects alongside creative and team-working skills throughout the course. Students need good computer skills and need their own camera equipment. Printing and presentation costs are not included.


An accredited qualification that is suitable for those who would like to gain and develop photographic skills and technique to produce commercial orientated work. During the course there is a mix of technical presentation, group work and individual assignments, with your work building your skills, ideas and a portfolio. You will produce two assignments, exploring personal photography projects and developing creative and team-working skills. Students need good computer skills and need their own camera equipment. Printing and presentation costs are not included.


Building on your skills, this intermediate course guides students through mastering their camera functions. Beyond the introduction to exposure, white balance and composition, we take on studio lighting, post-production, lighting styles, direction and quality. With in-depth demonstrations and explorations of digital workflow, from capture to print, using Lightroom in a fun and relaxed environment.


Landscape Photography is a great course for all those enthusiastic about outdoor photography. You will explore equipment needed, working on location and weather considerations for landscape and environmental still life pictures. Part of the course will take place on location.


Learn photo management and image-editing digital workflow using Adobe Lightroom – the powerful programme for professional and enthusiast photographers. Explore this increasingly essential and user friendly programme to edit your images and streamline your computer workflow. Students need good computer skills.
